The C Word

Ok, I get it you’re altogether more blunt
Than the English, And I have borne the brunt
Of your verbal assault, I put up a front
Of being fine with it, And I can mostly shunt
It to the back of my brain, I don’t want to confront
You, or lock horns and bunt
Like beasts, we’re both men, there’s no need for affront
Or umbrage, I’m game, I can punt
With the best of them, I’m not a runt
Like Wilbur, you know in that book where Charlotte pulls the stunt
With her web, I don’t want to start a witch hunt
Like in Salem, I’ll normally just pass it off with a grunt
Of dismissal, a bit like Charles Lunt
An actor in the 1880s, who was known for being A-
-ustralian
